Hey there! I’m Cameron Lattimer, an obscure ’90s kid who never quite grew out of finger paint and Saturday morning cartoons. These days, I make strange, odd, colorful paintings that bring a little bit of nostalgia, a little bit of chaos, and (hopefully) a lot of joy to anyone who stumbles across them. My art is loud, whimsical, and proudly a little “stinky,” because perfection’s boring, and weirdness is worth celebrating.

Art has always been a huge part of my life. I started making crafts, doodles, and clay creatures at four years old, and I never stopped. From sketching my favorite video game characters to learning oil painting from one of my biggest supporters, my mom (a Weasel and a Rabbit from Whiplash, if you must know), I’ve been hooked since day one. When someone would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, the answer was always “An Artist!” There was never any doubt in my mind.

Why Does My Art “Stink?”

It started as a joke, the idea that someone, somewhere, probably looks at my art and thinks, “A seven year old could make that.” And honestly? I love that. Pablo Picasso once said, “It took me a lifetime to learn how to paint as a child.” That idea stuck. I don’t want to make perfect art, I want to make honest art. Fun, simple, bright, and a little weird.

I’m constantly pushing myself to grow, but I’m also learning to embrace the messy, the imperfect, and the “stinky.” Because sometimes what stinks is what stands out.

My Inspiration

My art is all about color, nostalgia, and weirdness.

Back in college, I got tired of painting in the same dull browns and grays in the more traditional way of painting. So I went in the opposite direction and never looked back. I want to bring color back into a world that’s gotten a little too muted.

My work is inspired by childhood memories, Saturday morning cartoons, and the joy of making something that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I want my art to make people feel uplifted and whimsical, to remind them of the bright world we grew up in, and maybe encourage them to keep a bit of that weird, joyful energy alive for generations to come.

Celebrating the Weird

For me, ‘celebrating weirdness” isn’t just a tagline, it’s a way of life. We spend so much of our adult lives trying to fit into what’s “normal,” but I’ve always been the odd one out - the black sheep, the offbeat thinker, the strange artist drawing funny made up cartoon characters in the corner. I think the world needs more people who desire more bizarre and eccentric oddities.

So my art is my little rebellion. A reminder to dance, to paint, to be unapologetically yourself. Even if someone is watching…ESPECIALLY if someone is watching.

Beyond the Canvas

When I’m not painting or creating, I’m probably being a nerdy, dorky oddball. A husband, a dad, a flamingo lover, an old-school gamer, a movie lover, and a musician that recorded an album (because why not?).

I dream of building a life around art. Showing my work at fairs, galleries, and online connecting with people who love the bright and bizarre, and supporting my family doing what I love most.
